Things are happening!!!
After
a short but good sleep, we all wake up, ready for the big day! Big shopping in
Danao where the supplies are still available. After a good talk together about
how we gonna organise the day, Sophie left in order to find all the medications
needed, she spent many hours going from place to place and finaly got it all
sorted out...
Kalo left for Cebu, with a donation from the hash harriors, trying to find solar panels to provide electricity on the island. Cebu is quite hectic and busy on the roads, and it has never been so crowded as theese days, because everyone is buying supplies to help relatives and friends, but in the end of the day he came back with 2 solar panels, 100 watt each together with 2 batteries...
Remi and Lia spent most of the day at the cashier in the super market to find out that the credit card machine , the only one they got, is not working properly, so we finaly decided to go to the bank to get some money from the ATM, but on Saturday most of the Philipinos want to get their money too from the last working week, so we run between the only 3 different banks in town to find enough money to pay our bill, after a good run, we finally got all of it!!!
Arriving at the super market Sophie was waiting for us, with bad news, she lost her credit card!!! Looking every where, panic!!!!! She decided to go back to the pharmacy, than the girl appologized that by mistake they gave her a fidelity card instead of her credit card!!!! Luckily Sophie came back with a big smile!!!! So we paid the bill at the market, now it is time for the delivery....
We bought the corn from a nice women called Yolly, standing for Yollanda, same as the name of the typhoon that hit the Philippines. She told us that she felt very concerned about it and wanted to help, so we got a small discount and we could use her multi cab car for any time. Many people helped us out to stack all the bags on the car, it took us 4 loads and until 22h at night to load and unload the provisions at the dry dock where we are staying...
We are all very tired from this busy, but very successfull day...
